1. Find 3 distinct soil types.
a. These can be found in the greenhouse to be observed and recorded soon. If not enough distinct soil types exist, I can use my mom's garden expertise to find more.
2. Research soil and it's effects on certain types of plants. The aim is to find three plants that are known to thrive best in one of the three types of soil at my disposal.
a. This research can be done through books which I will get at the school library, as well as accredited .edu online sources.
3. Project: The project will consist of researching the effects of soils on different plant types, and picking three soils and plants, which will be tested against their predictions in the green house. 9 pots, about 4 plants in each pot, or depending on the type of plant.
4. This project will serve to let me explore the beneficial aspects of many different types of soils. I will be able to actual see the aspects of different soils which makes them useful to different plants, which will be an interesting point of study.
